With a wedding looming last weekend, I put it to my Snapchat followers to assist me in finding the perfect tan for the big weekend ahead. I have tried an abundance of self tanning lotions over the years, and adore Cocoa Brown for its simple application, floral smell, and it’s reasonable price. It is a great tan available almost everywhere nationwide, and I love it. Other favourites include Tantastic, St. Moriz, and Sally Hansen. However, wanting to try something new for the weekend I picked up a bottle of Bellamianta tan as I had heard so much about it. It retails at my local pharmacy ‘Healthwise’ for €19.99. A little bit on the pricey side some might say, but I reckoned I would try it regardless as a treat to myself and see if it was worth the money and lived up to the hype. I used a regular mitt to apply the product, but am hearing great things about the Bellamianta mitt which retails at €9.99 and boasts the most even, streak free tan application. A product to bear in mind if your are really splashing the cash and treating yourself! 🙂
The bottle is beautifully presented and the smell is so luxurious. It smells almost like a salon tanning product. I exfoliated and moisturised a couple of hours prior to applying it. The application couldn’t have been easier, as it glides on so smoothly with a gorgeous golden colour. Bellamianta boasts a non streak application, and I cannot argue with that. The colour develops over a couple of hours. As I applied the product just before bed, I waited until the morning to see the true results. Might I add also that my skin has never felt so soft prior to applying a tanning lotion. It felt moisturised, and so soft which was a lovely added bonus!
I woke the next morning to the same soft feeling on my skin and to a fabulous golden glow. The tan had developed so well overnight, and the golden bronzed colour was simply the nicest I have ever achieved from a self-tanning lotion. I took a quick shower to wash off the residue and top layer of the tan, and took to getting ready for the big day ahead! I truly was so impressed with the glow after the morning shower, and the simple application. I received so many compliments on the day of the wedding on my tan as to what tan I had used and where I purchased it.
Bellamianta is available at most chemists nationwide retailing at around the €20 mark. It is a firm favourite of So-Sue Me’s also having used the Mousse version on her holidays to Thailand. Is it worth the price? Yes, every penny. I feel that it is an investment tan. It can be used sparingly or plentifully depending on the colour you want to achieve. It feel luxurious on the skin, and fades so evenly the glow will last all week long. An amazing, luxury tan and I will not be looking back from this one! So impressed!
Would love to hear your feedback on the product! x
