I am squealing with excitement having been nominated for an Aussie Blog Award. I just can’t believe it! I have been blogging for a little while now, and am enjoying it so much. It is also something I have been putting off for a year or so now out of fear of what people might think! But, on the contrary people have been so supportive, and it is very refreshing! I certainly never expected to be shortlisted for this award considering the competiton was just so high, but I am over the moon! It has given me a lovely boost, and am so glad to hear that everyone has been enjoying the content of my blog.

The awards take place next Thursday, the 5th May at House, on Leeson Street, in Dublin. The awards are linked to Her.ie, and Burrell PR Company, in association with Aussie Hair products. I received my invitation today, and was thrilled to invite my Mum along to join me for the evening’s celebrations! Some of the bloggers nominated are seasoned campaigners, and I have been following them for years, so it is an absolute honour to join them for this awards night. The Littlest Polkadot has been shortlisted in the ‘Most Aussome Health and Lifestyle Blog’ section, alongside blogs such as Snapped-Up.Ie, and Body Fit Geek to name but a few. It would obviously be amazing to win this section, but getting shortlisted alone is enough to me!

So, that’s my amazing news of the week! Onwards and upwards for The Littlest Polkadot Blog. I am so looking forward to the awards evening in Dublin next week, and excited about what  to wear etc! On Saturday, I am headed for the Irish Bloggers Conference in Dublin, where speakers such as Rozanna Purcell, Brendan Courtney, and my favourite blogger, It’s Cherry Sue Doin the Do shall be passing on their advice on blogging, and digital marketing, etc. I shall post a full blog post on this conference, and next week’s Aussie Blog Awards.
