  Shopping for home-ware can be a nightmare, and a task that some dread, but fear not people …We have some fabulous stores on our doorstep ready to assist our every home-ware need .

  Yesterday , i did a quick sweep of some stores in Athlone , County Westmeath for some household items ! Whilst there , I took note of a few items that are not only fabulous assets to any home but also very friendly on the pocket !!

  

  Candles .

  Point me in the direction of a woman who doesn’t adore her candles! They instantly add ambience to any room . And just in case you were in any doubt, every Irish mammy believes in the power of a candle to ensure the success of anything in life .. Exams, surgeries, births etc … So there you have it ! They’re magic too! Penneys, have a vast array of candles in all shapes and sizes , and they are as cheap as chips ! These two beauties pictured above retail at €3 each . I picked up two . They have a fabulous summery scent, and a beautiful boho chic look.

  

   

  Pictures

  The right picture can brighten up a room, and add another dimension to a wall . I personally adore canvas paintings , big, small , it doesn’t matter . They are just stunning ! I have them in my bedroom, bathroom, hallway, and kitchen . In my opinion, Penneys can be very hit and miss for canvas paintings, they have become very gaudy lately , but each to their own ! Harry Corry always have fabulous canvas paintings , they never let me down . They are so reasonably priced also . The one pictured above is from Harry Corry and retails at €6. Perfect addition to any kitchen . The “home sweet home ” picture below is from dunnes stores and sits proudly in my hallway. I bought this for a mere €6 recently . Another gem of a shop, for beautiful paintings, is a local store to me, called Utah, in Ballinasloe. I have purchased many paintings there, my favourite being the ballerina below.

  These memo boards are perfect for the kitchen . If you are anything like me, you will need reminders everywhere ! I have a head like a sieve . These come in so handy , and look cute, and are the perfect size ! They are all from Penneys and retail at €3 each .

  

  Add some fragrance to your home with this room oil . Retailing at €3 in Penneys . The smell is so aromatic, and has a relaxing effect . The bottle is cute too, and it won’t break the bank !

  My keys are constantly missing , which can cause some minor disasters in our house from time to time ! This key holder is the sweetest thing ! You can mount it on your wall , so that you never lose your keys again ! It has saved many a disaster in our house !
